| There
are a number of suitable styles for the nipple piercing but choose
carefully, always taking lifestyle into consideration . A ring
or solid barbell can be ill advised for a male who does, for example,
a lot of gym work as expansion of chest muscles will cause the
ring to tip in the piercing and a solid barbell gives no room
for movement at all. This is usually only a problem for piercings
less than a year old. Nipple piercings should be measured from
hole to hole and 1mm added for a barbell or 3mm added for a ring
(i.e. a piercing measuring 10mm can where an 11mm barbell or a
14mm internal diameter ring). 1.6mm is the standard gauge (thickness). |
